We are currently seeking an Accounting Intern (Part-time) who will assist Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Accounting with items relating to the processing and recording of transactions by following standardized procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Verifies and posts accounts receivable transactions through cash application
- Contacts customers for details on short pays
- Prepares bank deposits when necessary
- Balances Accounts Receivable sub-ledger regularly
- Assists Accounts Payable by reviewing Accounts Payable invoices for approvals and vouches into MAPICS
- Performs General Ledger balance sheet account analysis
- Prepares and enters journal entries
- Reviews packing slips to ensure revenue recognition rules are adhered to
- Filing as required
- Performs other duties as required
Education / Experience Requirements
- High school degree and pursuing a field related Bachelor’s degree
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
