The Account Manager will manage and create high value partnerships that are customized, integrated and flexible that meet each client’s key marketing goals and objectives. Fully integrated marketing partnership activation could consist of, but is not limited to, intellectual property rights, in-arena signage, in-arena and in-market promotions, traditional media (TV, print, radio), digital media (online, mobile, social), community programs, retail activation, hospitality, private events, behind-the-velvet ropes experiences, as well as, any other assets sold by the department.

Additionally, the position will manage the annual renewal process and all day-to-day activities of selected partners.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as account manager of assigned partnership accounts
  • Develop relationship with assigned partners through touch point meetings, phone calls, and partner events
  • Plan various corporate partnership activations, including but not limited to: in-game promotions, events, in-market activations, and partner marketing campaigns
  • Prepare department documents including partner playbooks, mid-season updates, end of season recaps, expense reports, budgets, and contracts
  • Identify and present upsell opportunities to assigned accounts
  • Serve as an inter-departmental liaison and execute processes as assigned.
  • Utilize CRM system to track all activity related to partners including deal points, financials, client profiles and client interactions
  • Generate integrated marketing ideas for prospects and identify industry best practices
  • Assist with event day department responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned by manager 

Required Skills, Experience And Abilities

  • Customer service and sales oriented with proven experience building strong client relationships
  • Proactive with passion for the Partnership Activation
  • Interpersonal skills: works well in a team environment and is comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization and outside contacts
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal
  • Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Can prioritize work activities and use time efficiently
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Adaptable to change in the work environment
  • Delivers work by or ahead of deadline
  • Ability to work extended hours including evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Business, or related degree from an accredited college or university
  • Previous team or agency experience is preferred
