Hours per week: 40 hours | Monday – Friday | Hybrid – Tues/Weds/Thurs in office 
Location: Charlotte, NC 

Internship Program Overview: 
Throughout the program, interns will develop and grow through a series of experiences such as: 

• Building hands-on experience in general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while gaining a strong understanding of AvidXchange’s accounting processes. 
• Enhancing your knowledge of financial close processes, regulatory requirements, and internal controls that ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. 
• Establishing relationships with mentors and intern alumni, meeting with senior accounting leaders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to complete a capstone accounting project. 
• Volunteer opportunities to give back to the communities where we live and work. 
• Workshops and learning experiences to learn more about our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone belongs. 

What you will work on: 

• Assist in the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities, gaining exposure to the full accounting cycle. 
• Support the accounting team in conducting variance analysis, ensuring accuracy in financial records and reports. 
• Work with senior accountants to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory standards (GAAP). 
• Participate in special accounting projects, including audits, financial analysis, and system implementation support. 
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Controllership, FP&A, and Tax, to drive improvements in accounting processes. 

What we are looking for: 

• Expected graduation: December 2025 – May 2026 
• Minimum GPA: 3.0 
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in the respective field, or an equivalent degree program such as Accounting, Finance, or related major. 
• Relevant coursework, projects, or self-paced learning with a focus on: 
• Financial Accounting 
• Managerial Accounting 
• Auditing 
• Financial Reporting 
• Internal Controls 
• GAAP Compliance 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word 

Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving, strong communication, analytical thinking, adaptability, time management.
