Company Summary- Koa is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Rockville, Maryland. We are a dynamic, fun, growing company, with a bleeding passion for sports! Our mission is “shaping kids’ lives through sports” every decision we make comes back to our mission. We have roughly a dozen full-time employees and a part-time staff of over 200 and looking for more all-stars. We are looking for candidates that are leaders and have a high appetite for learning with a desire to excel in our entrepreneurial environment. Our employees must embody Koa’s 4 core values, positivity, dedication, being team first, and having fun!
This internship is located at Montgomery Blair High School (51 University Blvd E, Silver Spring, MD 20901).
Responsibilities & Duties:
● Master Koa’s Baseball Summer Camp Rules
● Basic understanding of League Apps (an online registration platform)
● Professionally interact with Koa employees managing day-day Camp tasks
● Professionally interact with Koa families via email (after draft has been approved)
● Assist with Check in and Sign out at Camp
● Professionally interact with Koa parents at any Koa event
● Show up on time and in Koa gear to all events
● Use appropriate language
Qualifications & Skills:
● Proficient communication; both verbal and electronic
● Community building
● Adequate knowledge of the sport
● Can use a fungo bat
*Please note, there will be paid coaching opportunities at $15.50 p/hour on nights and weekends.
Interviews will begin in January 2025
