Team Overview
Our Shipboard Engineering team is a dynamic group of software engineers who specialize in developing on-prem and AWS cloud-based solutions that enable enhance our Guests and Crew experience onboard our ships. This exciting and business critical area leverages cutting edge technologies and best practices to solve complex business problems and deliver high-quality software. Internship Overview
As a Software Engineering Intern in the Shipboard Engineering Department, you will collaborate with experienced mentors to design and develop innovative applications, adhering to our engineering best practices and guidelines. You’ll engage with cutting-edge technologies and work alongside industry experts to address real-world challenges, deploying solutions across our entire fleet. This internship serves as a launchpad for a successful career in travel technology, providing mentorship, growth opportunities, and invaluable hands-on experience.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor degree program in Computer Science or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026.
Must be willing to be based in South Florida from June 2nd – August 8th, 2025
A minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA is preferred
Must have authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis
Knowlede & Skills
Foundational education and experience in Computer Science topics
Core understanding of computer programming and experience with languages like Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or other
High level of problem solving and critical thinking
Ability to be adaptable and comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to think strategically, while managing the details
Ability to apply project management skills to support short term assignments
Skills using all Microsoft programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, agendas, and Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)
