Glenbrook South High School seeks a dynamic educational professional to serve as the next Associate Athletic Director. The position is scheduled to commence on July 29, 2025.
The Associate Director of Athletics provides leadership of the school’s athletic programs and related activities, ensuring equitable opportunities for all students. Serving as an advisor to the Assistant Principal of Athletics, this role includes supervising and evaluating athletic staff, scheduling game contests, coordinating facilities, enforcing policies, collaborating with various school offices and community partners, upholding school standards, and other duties that the Assistant Principal of Athletics may assign. The Associate Athletic Director assists with the enforcement of safety measures and provides event supervision, fostering a safe and inclusive athletic environment.
Applicants should hold the following education/experience qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field.
- Professional Educator License with a General Administration or Principal endorsement.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a High School setting.
- Minimum of five (5) years of head coach or assistant athletic director experience.
- Teacher Evaluator Designation or ability to obtain it before starting employment.
- Staff Development Experience (preferred).
- Ability to work positively and productively with adults and high school-age students.
- Ability to present and produce documents at a high level of sophistication.
- Ability to make rational decisions, problem-solve, and effectuate change.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of staff members.
- Ability to be articulate in both the formation of policy and procedures and their interpretation to staff, students, and the community.
- Ability to be firm but fair, with a holistic approach for respect for individual problems and needs within the framework of institutional requirements.
- Ability to act with tact and sound judgment.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide leadership in emergency situations.

The base salary for licensed administrators will be determined by their placement on the teacher salary schedule, with an additional position-specific factor of 1.14. The 2025-2026 Teacher Salary Schedule is expected to be released in Spring 2025, and will be based on the consumer price index (CPI).

This position comes with a competitive compensation package, family health and dental insurance, full tuition reimbursement, and basic life insurance coverage of up to two times the individual’s annual base salary, capped at a maximum of $500,000.
