The Partnership Creative Designer plays a pivotal role in conceptualizing and producing innovative visual content that drives sponsor engagement and activation. This position collaborates with the Partnerships team to develop compelling designs that showcase the value of team partnerships and enhance brand integration within the Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE) ecosystem, including pitch decks, recaps, digital platforms, in-game assets and community events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design and Production:
- Design and develop visually compelling pitch decks and proposals to present sponsorship opportunities to external partners, which includes visualization of audience data, mock-ups of platforms, activations, and assets, and bringing conceptual ideas to life.
- Create and design partnership recap decks to highlight key successes and outcomes for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Produce and edit visual assets, including photos and videos, to showcase partnership case studies and achievements.
- Develop branded presentation materials, ensuring alignment with partner and brand guidelines, for use in sales meetings and internal leadership updates.
Collaboration and Strategy:
- Collaborate with the Partnerships, Marketing and Creative teams to understand partner objectives and align creative deliverables with strategic goals.
- Stay informed of industry trends, NBA standards and emerging design technologies to maintain cutting-edge creative output.
Brand Integrity:
- Collaborate with Creative to uphold HSE’s brand identity while customizing designs to incorporate sponsor branding.
- Ensure all creative work adheres to NBA guidelines, sponsor agreements and quality standards.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
- Maintain an organized archive of creative assets for future use and reference.
- Track project requests and deliverables via Adobe Workfront, as assigned by the Creative Project Management Team.
Required Skills, Experience, and Abilities
To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies associated with the essential functions of this job.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work.
- Experience in sponsorship design is preferred.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
- Strong knowledge of digital design, including social media and web-based content.
- Familiarity with motion graphics, video editing and animation is a plus.
- Familiarity with Tableau and other data visualization tools.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into visually compelling designs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of brand partnerships and corporate sponsorship strategy.
- Knowledge of NBA brand guidelines and best practices, preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust and relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
