The ACS Product Marketing Team is seeking a highly motivated intern to support marketing campaigns across the ACS product marketing portfolio, including C&EN Magazine, ACS Meetings, Membership, and Green Chemistry initiatives.

The Marketing Intern will work closely with the Senior Product Marketing Manager to support marketing campaigns, standardize performance reporting, and assist in developing and implementing strategies for social media and audience growth. This role provides hands-on experience in digital marketing strategy, analytics, and creative execution within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring marketing campaigns for our magazine.
Help create email, social media, and ad copy in alignment with campaign goals.
Collaborate on developing standardized templates for campaign performance reporting.
Analyze key performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
Assist in maintaining and organizing marketing dashboards and data.
Contribute ideas and research for social media and audience growth strategies.
Research current trends and competitors to inform innovative marketing approaches.

Education Requirements:

The Ideal candidate will be a rising college junior, senior, college graduate or pursuing a Masters/ PHD in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Data Analytics, Digital Media or related field.

 

Required Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a major in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Data Analytics, Digital Media or related field.

Pay Transparency: This role is based in our Washington, D.C. office. The following are the intended hourly rates for this part time/nonexempt role: Rising Junior-$23.00; Rising Senior-$24.00; Current Grad/PhD Student- $27.00.

Any actual offer of employment, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be made in the sole discretion of ACS. ACS reserves the right to amend or modify its employment benefits and compensation structure at any time.

*This position will be primarily based in the Washington D.C. (or applicable) office. ACS employees work a hybrid work schedule, consisting of working onsite, two days per week. Schedule flexibility may be required for this role to support in-office activities. While always welcome to work in the office, employees may work the other three days of the week from a location of their choice.
