As the Education Intern, you will report to the Director of Education and work collaboratively with Major League Baseball (MLB) to enhance USA Baseball’s governance and support within the amateur game. Your work will center on creating and managing educational content, supporting health and youth initiatives, and developing resources that align with USA Baseball’s strategic goals of improving amateur programming, increasing participation, and promoting player safety. Additionally, you will contribute to research, program development, and the ongoing improvement of educational tools and resources.

POSITION DETAILS
- Full-time hours (40+ hours/week)
- On-Site
- Based in Cary, NC with a fully dedicated workstation during standard business hours.

IN THIS ROLE
- You will create and manage content for educational initiatives, including blog posts, the drill library, and other online resources.
- You will provide support for MLB-led youth and health-related initiatives, such as Pitch Smart.
- You will research and analyze trends within baseball and other sports to inform program development.
- You will contribute to the creation and implementation of programs, certifications, and courses from concept through launch.
- You will provide assistance in managing and improving the USA Baseball App.
- You will explore new ways to engage USA Baseball alumni through educational initiatives.
- You will assist with operational duties related to new programs and events developed by the department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- You have a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
- You are flexible and adaptable to changing organizational needs.
- You have a passion for growing the game of baseball.
- You can successfully complete a background check prior to employment.
Preferred
- Previous program research and event management experience.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the game of baseball.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
