Marketing Intern Duties

  • Designing graphics for marketing materials
  • Supporting social media campaigns and scheduling for current and upcoming NEON titles
  • Brainstorming and developing content for social media platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok
  • Conducting competitive research for marketing materials and initiatives
  • Preparing research reports for the media department
  • Creating case studies and engaging in other research projects
  • Contributing ideas for marketing campaigns for upcoming NEON releases
  • Participating in grassroots outreach for current and future NEON titles
  • Developing detailed schedules for major events, such as award shows and online activities
  • Assisting with various departmental projects, focusing on marketing efforts as needed, while also supporting distribution and publicity
  • Providing assistance for special events and screenings as required
  • Performing general administrative tasks

Important Information Before Applying:

  • Program Dates: The internship runs from January 13, 2025, to May (exact dates are flexible based on academic schedules)
  • Our internships are paid, offering a competitive hourly rate of $17.50. While school credit isn’t mandatory, we can provide documentation for it if needed. Note that relocation assistance is not available.
  • We prioritize your commitment to learning and growth, and thus our interns should be available for 2-3 full days a week, which equates to approximately 16-24 hours weekly. You will have the flexibility to design your schedule to accommodate your academic commitments.
  • This internship involves collaboration and requires on-site participation at one of our NEON offices in either Los Angeles, California, or the Soho district of New York City.
  • Interviews will be conducted from October to early December. If your skills and interests align with one of our available internship roles, a member of the NEON team will reach out to you. Due to the high volume of applications, we regret that we are unable to provide individual status updates.

Requirements

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this internship, you MUST be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate degree during the length of the program. You must be able to commit and be available for the entire length of the program and have access to your own housing and transportation to/from the internship site.

  • Culturally literate, engaged with a knack for research, and familiarity with social media platforms and creators
  • Knowledge of current film trends and industry news
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, solve problems, and implement solutions
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and analytical writing skills are essential
  • Apart from the above requirements, you must be proficient with Photoshop and Premiere.
