The International Recruitment Specialist is responsible for college-wide international student recruitment, outreach, and territory management for both undergraduate and graduate programs at Syracuse University’s College of Engineering & Computer Science. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Recruitment, this position will support the identification and development of new and emerging student markets, work with ECS faculty to develop and execute initiatives for program specific outreach and marketing of new programs, and assist in coordinating communication initiatives (email, text, phone, social media, printed collateral.) This position requires strong technical knowledge, problem solving ability and experience with Syracuse University systems.
Responsibilities
Execute college-wide international recruitment efforts in assigned geographic territories. Represent ECS at fairs and high schools; communicate with prospective students, parents, college counselors, and international recruitment partners. This includes conducting 4-6 weeks of travel throughout the fall recruitment period of August-November, and the Spring recruitment period of March-May. Conduct information sessions; maintain continuous contact with prospective students via e-mail, phone, virtual information sessions. Work with ECS faculty to support program-specific initiatives internationally. Identify and leverage new marketing opportunities for new programs in support of student enrollment growth. Coordinate faculty activities including institutional visits. Assist in identifying and development of new markets for student recruitment. Develop and support strategies for student engagement. Manage new geographic territories, which includes coordination and implementation of outreach and yield activities. Compile, analyze, and report data for territory; provide analysis on admissions trends within territories. Serve as a member of ECS recruitment team – Assist with on campus recruitment as needed, including daily information sessions and Admissions events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in international recruitment
