  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
  • Effectively interact with patients and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing.
  • Provide care for pediatric and adult patients before and after surgical procedures, and with a broad range of medical conditions.
  • Gives direction to RN, LPN, CNA, Housekeeping Staff, Dietary Staff.
  • Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Prepares and administers and records prescribed medications.
  • Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
  • Educates patients on surgical procedures, medications and conditions. Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.
  • Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients on how to manage their illness/injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs.
  • Changes dressings, inserts catheters, starts IV’s.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
  • Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol.
  • Participates in discharge planning.



Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • Passed NCLEX exam
  • Montana RN License
  • 1 to 2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certification to be completed with 6 months of hire
  • Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures. Basic office skills, IV skills
