Counsels international students, scholars, and the university community on immigration and intercultural issues Assists in the design and implementation of programs and events to acclimate and integrate international students into the US, and to support student success Communicates with incoming students and assists with their transition to NKU Manages international student health insurance enrollment each semester, and identifies and appropriately resolves issues related to international health insurance Manages semester reports for immigration compliance and enrollment purposes Helps support recruitment initiatives Monitors and helps manage ISSS’s budget allocations and expenditures; responsibly uses procurement card and completes statement reconciliations in a timely manner Coordinates website development and content; designs monthly electronic newsletter Fulfills various service requests, including driver’s license letters, good standing letters, and other documentation requested by students, employers, or foreign entities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus two year’s related experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and Access. Detail-oriented, organized, professional demeanor, and tolerant of other cultures is a must. Preferably tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly. Familiarity with ImageNow is a plus. Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to go through a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law. As per federal regulations, the applicant must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident.
Work Schedule
M-F, 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
