The Director of International Strategy & Partnerships will play a key role in supporting the NFL’s Consumer Products business unit. The NFL’s Consumer Products business unit is responsible for the NFL’s global licensing business, e-commerce and retailer relationships, and gaming portfolio, as well as supporting int’l expansion programs for NFL clubs. As the NFL continues to grow globally, consumer products will play an essential role in engaging fans in global markets. A strategic approach to drive that growth is essential, with this role being responsible for driving that strategy and growth, in partnership with local market management. This is an exciting new opportunity to take on a leadership role in one of the NFL’s key business units and work with other NFL stakeholders, NFL partners, and NFL clubs.
Responsibilities:
- Drive strategy for growth in NFL’s priority international markets, including:
- Market assessments
- Market entry strategy and tactics
- Portfolio strategy/identifying white space
- Retail Segment Strategy
- Lead financial reporting and forecasting of the business with finance teams and territory leads
- Manage marketing budget and on-field product needs across international CP
- Proactively identify growth opportunities, with a focus on long-term partnerships in key European markets (e.g., United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, France, Italy)
- Partner with GMs to ensure Consumer Products vertical is supporting local growth strategy
- Support global and local partner management in key territories, including:
- Support partners in retail development and sales of NFL-licensed products
- Work with partners on int’l growth strategies
- Partner with global account managers to drive international strategy broadly
- Drive research, conduct financial analyses and develop proposals for new business opportunities
- Work closely with other NFL departments on joint strategic initiatives
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, with an MBA a plus
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in one of the following: consulting, investment banking, and/or corporate strategy with a focus on consumer industries (e.g., consumer goods, retail)
- Experience in international markets, especially European markets
- General knowledge of the international retail landscape

- Strong understanding of business dynamics, models, and trends in the relevant ecosystems
- Strong analytical, research and financial modeling skills
- Command of contracts and experience working with legal professionals
- Strong skills in developing written and slide presentations for clear communication
- Strong communication and presentation skills to interact with both NFL partners and NFL senior leadership
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects, prioritizing stakeholder needs, and working under tight deadlines
- High-quality interpersonal and influencing skills to work cross-functionally in a complex organization
Travel:
- ~30% travel
Terms /Expected Hours of Work:
NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. This role will require additional hours during certain time periods as well.
Salary / Pay Range
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Salary
$115,000 – $145,000 USD
