JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Intelligence Analyst acts as a subject matter expert of the data repositories available within the organization by obtaining an in-depth understanding of each source system. The BI Analyst is primarily focused on the creation, management, and availability of structured analytics. This role requires the ability to understand source data, conduct data mining and analysis, report information in a format and way understandable to end-users, and deliver reports as requested.

  • $35.82/hr + DOE
  • PRN Differential

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Senior technical capability with demonstrated experience implementing and utilizing cloud-based data solutions supporting structured and unstructured data, with organization-wide data and user interaction.

  2. Conducts data mining and analysis.

  3. Creates reports in a format understandable to and accessible by end-users.

  4. Aligns with partner organization solution architects to ensure that the Business Intelligence team delivers uniform results providing a consistent and supportable view of data across the organization.

  5. Supports senior leadership and department managers in gathering and defining business requirements to properly design solutions for business users� need for advanced analytic capability.

  6. Supports implemented BI solutions by monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issues.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintains flexibility to adapt to a variety of workload assignments and changing priorities.

  2. Job requires the ability to present to and teach groups of people.

  3. Maintain working relationships cross-departmentally to assure appropriate levels of support and services.

  4. Provides recommendations for strategies and resource allocation needed to meet system related goals.

  5. Monitors quality improvement and auditing to ensure full compliance with federal and state guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS (Required):

  1. Bachelor�s degree required, emphasis in Information Science, mathematics, business management or related discipline preferred.

  2. Experience in healthcare analytics/informatics and report development experience

  3. Experience with visualization tools (SQL, Power BI)

  4. Expertise with desktop data analytics tools (Excel, Access)

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be able to treat hospital, employee, and patient information as confidential.

  2. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

  3. Experience with Cerner or another Electronic Health Record preferred.

  4. Six months to one year of related experience and/or training may be substituted for education.

  5. Knowledge of content and structure of a Health systems Charge master.

  6. Knowledge of Hospital reimbursement systems

  7. Knowledge of database structure and queries

  8. Working knowledge of SQL or other relational database management system and Visual Basic preferred.
