The Data Analytics Intern will be exposed to a wide variety of responsibilities and learning opportunities across numerous internal departments. The Mom’s Meals Summer Internship Program is a paid project-based 12-week program beginning May 19, 2025, and ending August 8, 2025. Our project-based internship program provides participants with the training, coaching, and hands-on experience to be successful professionals in their chosen fields. Our internship assignments focus on practical, value-added projects that help create a connection between what is learned in the classroom and what is required in analytic projects. Internship location will be onsite in our corporate office in Ankeny, IA or possibly a combination of onsite/remote.
Preference will be given to applicants with a healthcare analytics major or experience.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
- Using internal and external data, will support development and maintenance of forecasting models to improve insight into and capacity planning
- Investigate and develop a model to better understand and / or predict the impact of marketing initiatives on business growth
Required Skills and Experience
- College Junior or Senior (at time of 2025 internship) currently pursuing a degree in Statistics, Marketing, Business Analytics, or similar field; current Master’s level students will also be considered
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Outlook
- Familiarity or experience with programming or statistical languages (R, SQL Services, SAS, or Python)
- Ability to multi-task and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail, must be able to provide reports with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment, including being a productive member of a project team
- Proficient in data visualization and ability to consider multiple approaches to finding a solution
- Professional, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt; must be interested in continuous education to take advantage of emerging trends in new software/technology
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with ERP/CRM software or Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Physical Requirements
- Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
- Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
