Dynamic Psychiatry

Utah (Remote)

We are seeking a compassionate and highly motivated Masters level Therapist-Intern (CSW, CMHC, Etc.) to join our team at Dynamic Psychiatry and establish a healthy work-life balance. While there aren’t any on-call or after hour duties, you will be responsible for learning to provide mental health services to individuals, families, and groups. Your primary goal in this role will be learning to empower clients and enhance their overall psychological well-being.

Learning Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments: Perform thorough mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ needs and determine an appropriate treatment plan.
2. Provide counseling and therapy: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the assessment findings. Utilize evidence-based therapies to help clients overcome emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues.
3. Determine appropriate level of crisis intervention: If safe, during a scheduled appointment, you will provide immediate assistance to clients experiencing acute psychiatric crises, such as suicidal ideation. (After hours emergency services are not part of the job description.)  
4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals: Including psychiatrists, psychologists, other therapists and nurses, to coordinate care and ensure an integrated approach to clients’ treatment.
5. Advocate for clients: Advocate for clients’ rights and interests, help navigate complex systems, and connect them to community resources and support networks.
6. Maintain documentation: Maintain accurate and complete client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely manner.
7. Participate in weekly didactic lunches.

Requirements:
1. Good standing as a Masters Level student (CSW, CMHC, etc.) from an accredited institution.
2. Willingness to learn various therapy modalities.
3. Willingness to learn and adapt to new charting and therapy approaches.
4. Desire to understand diagnostic criteria and treatment modalities related to mental health disorders.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients of diverse backgrounds and establish therapeutic relationships.
6. Ability to learn to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
7. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations and respond appropriately to clients in crisis.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive client care.
9. Solid knowledge of relevant legal and ethical guidelines, including confidentiality laws and professional boundaries.
10. Proficiency in electronic health record systems and standard office software.

11. Ability to accept straight forward feedback.
