What You’ll Do:
Federal regulations require Registered Nurses (RN) to be in PRTF ratio 24 hours a day. RN staff must monitor the milieu and all restrictive interventions to ensure the safety and welfare of PRTF clients. RN staff promotes the use of the Neuro-sequential Model of Care; manage medication, medical treatments, observe clients for any health status changes, coordinate emergent care and transport, and collaborate with Guardians to ensure each client’s essential well-child healthcare needs are met during their placement in the PRTF; provide healthcare education to their PRTF Treatment Team members, clients, family members and other agency programs as needed, i.e. Medication Administration and Blood Borne Pathogen/Infection Control. Applies knowledge of child growth and development as it relates to the Neuro-sequential Model of Care; explains procedures and treatments to clients to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension through awareness of comfort and safety needs of client; demonstrates punctuality, dependability and on-call availability to work additional shifts; remains flexible to alter core scheduling when unexpected scheduling needs arise within the department; RN staff will flex to be included in the cottage or classroom ratio when the need arises. Must be able to work 8 or 12 Hour Shifts along with some weekends.

Education and Experience
- RN, NC licensure and at least four years RN experience in Pediatrics, Family Practice, Urgent /ER or Behavioral Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
