Vast offers an internship program with hands-on opportunities to be part of our mission. Our interns are mentored by industry experts responsible for developing and telling the story of our progress, mission, and vision to stakeholders, from government agencies to scientists to private passengers. This is a 12-week internship at our headquarters in Long Beach, CA.
Responsibilities will vary depending on each intern’s area of expertise. We are currently looking for candidates with experience in the following disciplines:
- Marketing
- Event Management
- Digital Design/UX/UI
- Graphic Design/Brand Design
- Communications/PR
- Social Media
- Public Affairs
- Editorial (Writer)
- Internal Communications
- Merchandising
- Media Production
- Industrial Design
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university in humanities, communications, public relations, journalism, creative design, industrial design, or marketing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work full-time onsite
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and problem-solve
- Prior knowledge of relevant tools based on their skillset (ex: a Graphic Designer would have knowledge of Adobe, Figma etc. programs)
- A positive and curious attitude with team spirit
Pay Rate:
- $33/hr (Bachelor’s Degree)
- $38/hr (Master’s Degree)

$33 – $38 USD
U.S. EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE STATUS
The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing. This status includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), and asylees and refugees with such status granted, not pending.
