Position Summary | Summary
This position will be located at the UNM Prevention Research Center (PRC) and will be part of a multi-disciplinary team collects and analyzes data from students in New Mexico high schools. This position is designed to provide training for a recent college graduate in order to prepare them for a professional position in a field related to prevention science or health promotion. The position will assist the team in all aspects of research projects to provide the incumbent with the skills and knowledge needed to perform the duties of an Associate Scientist in the PRC in the future. Duties may include assisting with data collection using web-based surveys, in-person interviewing or focus groups. The position will also be likely to analyze data and prepare dissemination products under the supervision of PRC staff. These products will include English and Spanish materials. The position may also conduct literature reviews and write drafts of data briefs on various topics. In cooperation with other team members, the position may use Stata and/or NVivo for analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, respectively.

Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s or Master’s degree obtained no earlier than 24 months prior to the date of hire; no previous work experience required. |

Additional Requirements | Must present transcripts prior to a formal offer being extended. Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University’s influenza vaccination requirement. This is a fixed-term position, typically up to 24 months. |
