Maintenance Assistant- Healthcare Facility- Part-time

Sharon Village Retirement Apartments is seeking a Part-time Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

Sharon Village Retirement Apartments are located 421 Delane Ave, Charlotte, NC which adjoins to the White Oak Manor Charlotte location!

The Maintenance Assistant works closely with our Maintenance Director to implement facility maintenance in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents’ needs in compliance with Federal, State and local regulations.

Position requires 24 hour on-call every other week so close proximity to facility is a plus.

Job Summary: This position cares, maintains, and repairs institutional property, equipment and grounds in an effective manner to safely meet residents needs in compliance with Federal, State and local regulations. 

Job Requirements:

*Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and mechanical.

Responsibilities:

* Some duties with electricity and plumbing are expected, however, this job does not require a trained electrician.

* Inspects building and equipment regularly for compliance with local and state codes.

* Advises and consults with administrator on maintenance and repair needs.

* Keeps a daily log of work performed and is responsible for logging specific duties. Along with weekly/monthly scheduled checks.
