Information Technology Manager (IT)

We are a non-profit long term care facility that offers independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care. Overview: The IT Manager oversees and manages all aspects of the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient and secure operations. This role also serves as the Security/HIPAA Officer, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Management:

• Oversee IT systems (servers, hardware, software, applications, network).
• Ensure smooth operation of critical systems including proprietary systems (e.g., Roam Alert, Protected Trust, Worxhub, PointClickCare).
• Implement security measures and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Microsoft Business Admin Centers (e.g., 365, Compliance, Universal print, Entra, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform)

Leadership and Staff Management:

• Delegate tasks and support staff development.
• Manage IT team performance.

Project Management:

• Collaborate on IT aspects of renovation projects.
• Lead IT Committee.
• Implement strategic IT initiatives.

Cybersecurity and Compliance:

• Conduct regular IT audits.
• Implement security recommendations.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with regulations.
• Design structured policies and procedures

Communication and Coordination:

• Develop communication strategies for IT changes.
• Coordinate with various departments.
• Collaborate with outside vendors
• Resolve communication issues promptly.

Vendor and Budget Management:

• Manage relationships with IT vendors.
• Monitor and manage the IT department budget.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements.
• Plan new and existing equipment deployment.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (advanced degree/certifications preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of IT management experience, including leadership roles.
• Proven experience with IT systems management, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
