Job Description

Brightspeed is looking for a Senior Analyst, Regulatory Reporting to join our team! In this role, you will report directly to the Manager, Regulatory Reporting. This position will be an important part of a best-in-class Regulatory Reporting function for a growing telecommunications company. You will support the Company’s Regulatory Reporting cycle including report preparation, data analysis, compliance, and certification. You will need to have regulatory experience in the telecommunications industry, excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and will need to be independent, resourceful, and detail oriented.

As A Senior Analyst, Regulatory Reporting, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Draft, analyze, and submit State and Federal regulatory filing submissions and timely payment of all invoices, as well as other ad hoc duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholder groups to assess, analyze, validate, and ensure accuracy of all data and filings.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to State and Federal audit requests and inquires.
  • Maintain proper controls, robust documentation, and change management approach for all reporting areas to provide assurance that the Company is operating a best-in-class reporting environment.
  • Identify and communicate issues and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

What It Takes To Catch Our Eye:

  • 7+ years relevant experience in telecommunications regulatory, compliance, or related disciplines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Strong communication and project management skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
  • Proven ability to investigate, analyze, and interpret state and federal regulations.
  • Strong individual contributor that takes complete ownership and accountability of responsibilities given the deadline-oriented nature of the position.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, data analysis, and analytical skills.
  • Adaptable to changing business environment and organizational structure.

Bonus Points For:

  • · Knowledge of the Federal Universal Service Fund (FUSF) and State Universal Service Funds (SUSF).
  • · Experience with telecommunications accounting and billing processes, systems, and procedures.
  • · Experience with the FUSF exemption certification process
