Senior Salesforce Administrator will oversee administration as well as support development and integration efforts in the DCLI Salesforce org.  This role will involve managing and maintaining our Salesforce environment at an advanced level.  This role will require supporting minor development tasks to enhance our CRM system. Leadership, execution, and coordination around change control, security, advanced workflows, and development is expected.  This position has to balance business users and technical users needs and has high visibility across a broad group of users.  This position will be expected to assess, as time permits, overall design of the org and make recommendations to improve the design.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Salesforce Administration:

  • User Management: Create and manage user accounts, roles, profiles, and permissions, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Data Management: Oversee data imports, data exports, and data cleansing. Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the Salesforce platform.
  • Advanced Configuration: Customize Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, workflows, and approval processes. Implement advanced Salesforce features such as Process Builder, Flow, and Custom Metadata.
  • Support: Provide day-to-day support and training to end users, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues as they arise. Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for new features and updates.  Setup and Analyze audit logs as needed.
  • Security: Implement and manage Salesforce security settings, including data protection and backup procedures. Conduct regular security audits and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Reports & Dashboards: Develop and maintain complex reports and dashboards to support business processes and decision-making. Utilize advanced reporting features like joined reports and dynamic dashboards.
  • System Maintenance: Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including system updates, release management, and optimization of Salesforce performance.

Salesforce Development:

  • Custom Development: Assist in developing and maintaining custom solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Integration: Support the integration of Salesforce with other systems and third-party applications.  Coordinate and support the DCLI Data Integrations team for anything in Salesforce.
  • Testing & Debugging: Conduct basic testing and debugging of custom solutions and configurations.
  • Documentation: Document development work, including code and system configurations. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Salesforce processes and customizations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator
    • 4+ years as advanced Salesforce Administration – custom objects, Process Builder and/or Flow, dynamic approvals and SLA escalation, managing integration scenarios.
    • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components).
  • Certifications: Salesforce Administrator certification required. Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer I certification is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in Salesforce administration tasks, including user and data management, security settings, and advanced configuration.
    • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce development tools and languages.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Experience with change management and release management processes.
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Zapier).
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with other CRM tools and technologies like Marketo, Pardot, DemandTools, Cloudingo or ZoomInfo.  
  • Experience with managing large-scale Salesforce implementations.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Communities and Experience Cloud.
