Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION: To gain practical hands-on experience in AP and Accounting with the goal to contribute to the efficient operation of the department and assist with internal and external clients. Schedule may vary 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Electronic files and verifying accuracy of support.
Research & track data charges and receipts.
Organizing & compiling data as needed.
Review & reconcile discrepancies.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain tasks list from emails, working with accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases.

Ability to communicate facts clearly, directly and adhere to policy.
Excellent mature interpersonal skills with flexibility to navigate various personalities and pivot appropriately.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Strong attention to detail.
Excel skills a plus.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must act in accordance with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 and related state law confidentiality requirements. Must successfully complete the Center’s HIPAA training, pass the HIPAA test, and receive the Certification of Compliance.
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus on accounting, finance or auditing.
ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Facility location is in an admin office setting.
Business casual attire.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:
Ability to sit for extended hours.
Ability to kneel or reach as needed.
Vision that does not impede viewing and reading.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION:
Ability to operate a copy machine, fax machine, shredder, computer, and printer.
